I'm starting on a fresh path this year. There's a lot to look forward to, but I know that I can only make it to my desired destination through diligent effort and self-belief. It's not going to be handed to me on a plate. I have to really want it, and that means I need to be accountable and maintain a positive attitude. I've worked out what I want to do with my future. Of course, writing will always be a priority and I'm continuing to enjoy the fiction I'm producing. But, in terms of a career path, I finally feel that I'm ready to commit fully to gaining some serious credentials and moving towards full time guidance and counselling. So, the first step is to save the funds needed to pay for my first chosen course of the year and studying the required texts in the meantime. I'm going to be working on an Advanced Diploma in Bereavement Counselling and Thanatology. This is a huge on-going passion of mine and I'm itching to get started on it. Following on from that, I'll also be looking to complete diplomas in life coaching and specialised spiritual counselling, so that I'm arming myself with more of the knowledge and wisdom needed to utilise Tarot as effectively as possible, helping as many people as I can to progress in the way they need to.
I'm looking forward to another great year on the Etsy shop, reconnecting with returning clients and learning about new ones who find their way to me and permit me to be a part of their journey. Video workshops on specialised Tarot topics are in the pipeline and reasonable prices are still part of my commitment. I'm also looking forward to heading up the Tarot section on A Little Bit Individual and seeking out other publishing opportunities to spread the Tarot love far and wide! I have a plethora of plans for the Youtube channel, including informative videos on chromotherapy, mythology and a host of weird and wonderful divination methods from all over the world. I have hugely appreciated the vibrant and intelligent community I've discovered on Youtube and I'm so grateful to be a part of it and learn so much without parting with a single penny! People are so generous with their time and knowledge and it's always humbling to see that.
I've made positive changes with my diet and lifestyle in the past few weeks, returning to non-dairy choices for the first time in a while and already feeling the benefits. I'm using my Book of Mirrors to slowly and steadily plan a schedule of spiritual study and practice after a time of feeling disconnected from any real sense of order. Life has been loud in the last few months! Meditation has taken a backseat, but I've come to realise that it's the seed of everything new and exciting in spirituality - it's that quiet plateau you need to find and relish in order for revelations and affirmations to surface. So, I will sit meditation. I will sit because I love life. I will sit because I owe it to myself. I will sit because it's wild. I will sit because I'm free. And I'm lucky.
I want to be open to what's coming. I want to make certain sacrifices so that, this time next year, I can witness the deeper meaning my life has been invested with as a result of the work I'm going to put in to studying and striving and longing for the future.
