I love this one. Joanna DeVoe posted it on her Facebook page and I fell in love with it immediately and grabbed my book of mirrors to scribble it down.
It's all about belief, baby!
For serious. I relate so completely that I might as well have written this myself..
Patti is my heroine in many ways. She also said, 'In art and dream may you proceed with abandon. In life may you proceed with balance and stealth.' I also happen to find that pretty damn witchy.
It's about defying your own insistence, exploring, reaching out, being open to experience.. For me, magick and the path of the witch goes hand in hand with cognitive flexibility and with the willingness to think it possible that there's more to the equation.
As a witch, I am a seeker. I am investigating, and my curiosity is my sacred tool and the light by which I see. How about you?
I like to think of a spell as a green smoothie that I can drink before going for a run. I still need to actually go outside and run, but the smoothie sure does offer some mighty fine fuel to swing things in my favour and help me to take the world by storm!
If we are thinking of 'nature' as the places and things not made by the hand of man, then we can think of the path of the witch as one good way to get our hearing back and start listening, deeply, carefully..
What else?! A perfect sentiment for those who use their mind to shape their reality.
Much of my witchcraft is about better understanding and unraveling myself rather than trying to play with stuff around me. An internal shift creates a longer-lasting and more effective external shift.
I hope you enjoyed this little tour of some of my favourite quotes for witchy empowerment and deep contemplation of the mystical variety.
