My seasonal Snow Queen Reading returns..

Growing up, I was fixated by Jadis - the White Witch from the Narnia chronicles. Although aware that she was an evil character with shadowy intentions and access to malicious, ancient magic which could destroy all human life, I also admired her power and saw a piece of her inside my own psyche. Archetypes are weird that way! They aren't always what they seem.

They can reflect parts of you with which you long to get in touch. They can also mirror your darkness back to you, reminding you of the inner work still to be done. This spread design isn't exactly a literal exploration of the White Witch. But more broadly, it is a nod to the archetype of 'The Ice Queen'. It uses 'winter witch' imagery, tapping into the themes of broken-heartedness, mistrust, complex wisdom and the relationship that we have with our own power.
