This potent spread design was created to honour my matron goddess, Hel - the Norse goddess of the Underworld. Over time, I have discovered her to be a guiding force of indescribable proportions. Known to many of those who work with her as a formidable and wise deity, she is also conveyed as being a tough-loving, stringent taskmaster who insists on personal accountability in those who learn from her teachings. She is said to put followers through their paces, asking them to face their fears and learn from their pain. Whilst this image of a disciplinarian goddess isn't alien to me, it's also only one piece of a rich and vibrant energetic puzzle.. Hel encourages fierce independence, industrious creativity and knife-point precision. She can challenge you to be better each and every day, impressing yourself as well as others. She can keep you to the path when you're tempted to slink away from it. She picks you up when your ego is bruised and your fears are overwhelming, demanding that you use the strength in your heart to keep moving towards your goal!
